    O Ciclo de Debates Periódicos UFSC é um evento de iniciativa da Biblioteca Universitária e Portal de Periódicos da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) que visa proporcionar aos participantes o acesso as principais inovações em torno do gerenciamento de informações em periódicos científicos e portais de periódicos, sobretudo a troca de experiência entre editores, bibliotecários e pesquisadores.

    O próximo Ciclo de Debates será realizado nos dias 2 a 4 de maio de 2018. Será uma edição especial do evento que comemorará os 10 anos do Portal de Periódicos UFSC.

    The Sixteenth International Conference on Books, Publishing and Libraries will be held at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA, 7 July 2018. We invite proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, virtual lightning talks, virtual posters, innovative showcase, or colloquia addressing one of the following themes:

    Theme 1: Publishing Practices: Past, Present, and Future
    Theme 2: Reading, Writing, Literacy, and Learning
    Theme 3: Books and Libraries

    2018 SPECIAL FOCUS: Communicating Values - Scholarly Communication as Mediator, Agent, Actor


    The next proposal deadline is 7 April 2017. We welcome the submission of presentation proposals at any time of the year up until 30 days before the start of the conference. All proposals will be reviewed within two to four weeks of submission.


    The International Journal of the Book encourages the widest range of submissions and aims to foster the highest standards of intellectual excellence. Articles may be submitted by in-person and virtual participants as well as Research Network Members.
